Greetings!

The eScience Institute at the University of Washington is pleased to host a 3-hour workshop in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS): You opportunity to dive into quantum computing. This three-hour workshop will run September 20 from 1-4PM PDT, in person on the UW Seattle campus (space permitting) or by Zoom call-in. The workshop will focus on an introduction to and recent developments in AWS' Braket quantum computing service.

Participants can experience this event as hands-on activities (please bring a laptop) or as an observer. Narrative direction and technical depth will be provided by AWS Quantum Applied Scientist Brajesh Gupt.

Topics will include working with quantum simulators as well as quantum device implementations that are currently available, and we will naturally get a perspective on the road ahead.

Note: For the hands-on labs Amazon Web Services will provide attendees access to a sandbox environment with setup expected to take less than five minutes.

This workshop is timed to coincide with IEEE Quantum Week 2023.

Register to attend in person (UW Seattle eScience Institute) (space is limited)
