NSF-funded recipients of DCL 23-101 National Discovery Cloud for Climate (NDC-C) funds may request up to $25K for cloud computing resources to use public clouds supported by CloudBank: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Cloud.

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR REQUEST, please read through our best practices guide for putting together a proposal and see our tips for estimating cloud spending. For reference, we also provide an example dcl request. Please email help@cloudbank.org if you have any problems using this form or if you need help estimating your costs.

  • CloudBank cloud accounts should not be used to store protected or sensitive data that requires compliance protection. If your research involves human-related data, please specify that you will only be working on public datasets or de-identified data in your justification.
  • Human labor services like Mechanical Turk are out of scope for this DCL.
